Apply for a replacement Community licence
If a Community licence is no longer valid or is illegible, you must apply to the relevant authority for a replacement.
You require a Community licence for commercial road haulage.
In addition, you must have a certified copy of the Community licence for each vehicle.
You must have any certificate or certified copy replaced if it:
- is lost
- is stolen
- becomes unusable, for example due to
- soiling
- water damage
When applying, you must provide credible evidence of the loss. If a copy has been stolen, you must report this to the police.
Note on replacement for a road haulage licence that is still valid:
The procedure outlined above applies accordingly to road haulage licences for commercial domestic transport that are still valid and their duplicates.

Your licence certificate or collective licence, or the duplicate or copy for a vehicle, has been lost, stolen, rendered unusable or is illegible.

- You must submit an application for a replacement.

- The relevant licensing authority will examine the documents and issue a replacement joint licence or a certified copy.
