Apply for authorisation to carry out fumigation

If you want to carry out fumigation, you need a licence, which you must apply for from the competent authority.

If you wish to carry out fumigation on a commercial basis or independently as part of other economic activities, you must apply for a licence from the competent authority. If your application is successful, you will be granted a licence to carry out fumigation.

The prerequisite is that you fulfil the personnel, spatial and safety requirements.

Procedure

After you have applied for authorisation to carry out fumigation, the competent authority will check your application and request additional documents if necessary.

Before carrying out fumigation for the first time.

Required documents

The following information is required to apply for a licence:

Information on the spatial and safety-related equipment,
Proof of compliance with the relevant occupational health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and operating instructions,
Name and authorisation or registration number of the biocidal product or plant protection product and its type of use,
Copies of the certificates of competence of the holders of the certificates of competence,
Copies of the certificates of competence of the authorised persons.

450 to 2,000 €

Miscellaneous

The licence may be granted for a limited period, with conditions or subject to revocation. Conditions may be imposed retrospectively.
