Late repatriates can attend the integration courses organised by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees free of charge. The structure of the courses consists of two parts:
Late repatriates aged 14 and over can take part in the "Travelling together: identity, recognition, encounters" courses. A course consists of a learning group with at least twelve participants from the target group who work together over a certain period of time to develop content and skills. The course language is German. Participation in courses is only possible for each person up to a total of 200 teaching units. Several courses can be applied for and organised per measure. A course can comprise 50, 100 or 200 teaching units (TU). One teaching unit corresponds to 45 minutes. The contents of the module catalogue are developed in the course. The module catalogue is divided into mandatory basic modules, elective modules and free modules or freely designable modules and covers the following topics:
Tip: In addition to the integration courses, there are other integration aids, especially migration-specific counselling services. Information on local counselling can be obtained from local authorities, integration officers or the Migration Counselling Service for Adults (MBE) or the Youth Migration Service (JMD).
As a late repatriate, you are entitled to attend an integration course once free of charge. This also applies to your husband, wife, partner and children who are included in the admission decision.
The Federal Office of Administration will determine your right to participate in an integration course. You will usually receive confirmation of your entitlement to participate together with your registration certificate after you enter Germany. You canthen start an integration courseat , even if the certification procedure has not yet been completed.
Please note: Were you accepted as a late repatriate before 1 January 2005 and have not yet attended a language course? attended a language course? Then the Federal Office of Administration can authorise you to take part in an integration course. If you have already attended a language course organised by the Federal Employment Agency and would still like to attend a integration course , you must submit an application to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees for admission to the integration course . Please send this application to the responsible regional office of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. You will then be admitted to the integration course as a German national. Please read the information for German nationals.
You can use the authorisation certificate to register directly with a language course provider of your choice.
